NEW YORK, NY Feb 28, 2013 -- Fiverr, a leading global marketplace for services, will mark its third anniversary by opening an office in New York City on Friday, March 1, 2013.

Additionally, Fiverr has expanded its offering from 12 to 120 categories of services, with an increase in demand for services such as personalized gifts, graphic design, music and audio, programming and tech, video and animation, writing and translations. Fiverr facilitates millions of buyers and sellers from over 200 countries offering 1.3 million services and adding more than 4,000 new services daily.

"We've had a landmark year in terms of growth and positioning," said Micha Kaufman, CEO of Fiverr. "With a flourishing tech and innovation community, New York is a natural fit for us to further align our growth with the U.S. market and more closely engage with our American community. We're making strategic hires to drive the next generation of Fiverr and actively seeking top talent to join our robust team."

Strategic marketing veteran Ayesha Ahmad, serving as the Vice President of Growth for Fiverr, will lead the New York office.
