Driven By Its Latest Round of Funding & Growth Strategy, Fiverr Rolls Out Localization in 4 Countries

NEW YORK, NY Oct 29, 2014 -- Fiverr, the world's largest marketplace for creative and professional services, announces today the launch of new Spanish, French, Dutch, and Portuguese language versions of its website, helping creative and professional people turn their limited local audience into demand around the world. Consumers can now access over 3 million Gigs in more than 100 categories, in their native language. Fiverr's localization strategy further accelerates a significant shift toward a new way to work -- where global connectivity is essential.

Fiverr has pioneered a new model of "Services as a Product" (SaaP) to provide consumers with a catalogue-like, e-commerce experience that allows Gigs to be purchased with only a few clicks, and without the time consuming process of negotiating a project.

"International growth and market expansion has become a strategic priority for Fiverr," says Fiverr CEO, Micha Kaufman. "We want to better serve the entrepreneurial community that exists on Fiverr, as well as potential users throughout the world. These are the first of many languages that we'll be adding over the next few months, with ongoing community & social media management."

Kaufman added, "Fiverr's worldwide popularity gives sellers unmatched deal flow, and provides talented people tools to package their skills as products. Customers can enjoy the familiar eCommerce experience of browsing through a product catalogue, searching for, and ordering, exactly what they need."

The launch of a localized Fiverr in Spanish, Portuguese, French and Dutch marks the next step in Fiverr's ambitious journey to accelerate geographic expansion over the next few months. This new localization initiative illustrates Fiverr's momentum and growth strategy launched following this summer's $30 million round of Series C funding. The funding is being used to focus on aggressive market penetration and to advance opportunities for digitally based entrepreneurs worldwide.
