Node.js is an open-source, cross platform Javascript runtime environment for executing Javascript code on the server side. It was written by Ryan Dahl in 2009 after seeing a file upload progress bar on Flickr. The browser didn't know how much of the file had been uploaded and had to query the web server in order to provide an updated look at the current state of the upload. Dahl saw this situation as an opportunity to build something more useful & intuitive that what was currently on the market.
Node.js is used mostly to create web servers & networking tools using Javascript, and a collection of “modules” that handle system functionality. Node.js developers can help you to build the backend for fast, asynchronous dynamic websites and applications, construct real-time web APIs & help you run the live unit tests of your website using the runtime environment.
It’s the dynamic nature of Node.js that makes it a more difficult pursuit for the average developer. Finding someone specialized in this type of Javascript development goes over and above the skills of most web devs. Finding a specialist is necessary when dealing with these types of processes and Fiverr has plenty to choose from!
