All about microsoft excel experts
Many students are taught the basics of using Microsoft Office applications while in school, with regards to programs that include Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Excel, the spreadsheet program developed by Microsoft in 1985, was created to help businesses compile their financial data. Excel has many other uses in fields apart from business and finance - it can even be used to help with the fields of science and engineering. As long as there’s math (numbers and computation involved), Excel can be used to make sense of data. You can use it for tasks as basic as arithmetic to more advanced applications such as data analysis and visualization (via graphs and charts), as well as programming.
Though lookalike apps, such as Google Sheets, have been created in recent years, nothing can beat the way the original works.
Most people are baffled by Excel and look to experts when it comes to making sense of data and calculations. For those that understand it, you can take certification tests from Microsoft to demonstrate your knowledge. There are 3 levels to choose from and study for:
- Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
- MOS Expert
- MOS Master
