Hello everyone! Thanks for visiting my profile page. I'm from Shizuoka, Japan, which is well known for Mt. Fuji.
I live in Canada for about 9 years and I teach Japanese as a private tutor for about 8 years.
I have experience in subtitle translation, so depending on the content, I am also available for translation and proofreading-related work.

United StatesKanako-san doesn’t have a one size fits all teaching guide, and although she recommends best methods for learning and studying, she has gone through great lengths to teach me Japanese language skills that range from oral to written. I highly recommend her tutoring for anyone wanting to learn Japanese!

Kanako-san is very patient and allows students to explore different aspects of lessons that will enrich their own journey in Japan and the Japanese language. She spends attention wisely and takes time to produce easy to understand lesson plans with a modern, multimedia approach. Highly recommend!

Kanako-san has the perfect disposition to be a teacher or a tutor. In my case, certain parts of her structured lesson plan were inapplicable due to the nature of my schedule. She adapted the studies to my needs and really helped me learn key Japanese phrasing and concepts that I can take with me to Tokyo!
