Cherie Jordan

Cherie is very much about Cherie. She was very late on my project, did not incorporate my feedback and somehow felt the presentation that I asked her to design for her and not for me. The creative did not reflect my work nor was she open for feedback. In fact, she said so herself. I sent her a polite message about potentially cancelling because she is very busy but it was at the determent of my work and asked for her thoughts on how to proceed. She responded with the message below; therefore, I canceled. I do not want to work with anyone who thinks that they can provided poor service and then be downright mean. If you want to deal with what I have shared, she is most certainly the person to hire. I’ve tolerated you telling me how to do my job, which is incredibly insulting. You’re an executive, yes. But you hired me to do a job that you clearly couldn’t. I appreciate you don’t like the font, but don’t tell me things are junior, when in fact they are very on trend and do align very well with your industry/s. That’s a personal preference. I’ve also been an executive for 18 years. I’ve earned over $200k per annum, I’ve lead global teams of direct/indirect reports. But I’ve never told anyone how to do their job. I’ve tried to advise you about how much text there is, so that your readers will engage more and less likely to not read when it is overwhelming. You don’t design to reflect you as the target audience. Of course it is a reflection of you, but it is more targeted to meet their expectations. Why? Because you’re trying to provide a solution to a need they have. So content needs to reflect how you can help them. Not just what you’ve done. That’s marketing. You may argue you can do that during interview; maybe if you get one but that’s assuming your competitors haven’t already addressed the above.
